Cabbage Ambado

Cabbage – 1/4kg (finely chopped)
Onion – 2 (finely chopped)
Rice 150grms
Toordal – 75grms
soaked for about half an hour
Grated coconut – 2tbsp
Red chilies – 8
Tamarind – marble sized
Salt to taste
Oil – for deep fry

To make the masala, grind grated coconut, red chillies and tamarind using very little water. Add soaked rice and toordal. Grind coarsely. Add the finely cabbage and onion pieces, salt and mix well. Make small round balls (lemon sized), flatter them a bit and deep in oil till both the sides turn golden brown in colour. Serve hot.
