Cabbage Upkari
( cabbage palya)
Method1
Ingredients
Cabbage 1/4kg (chopped finely)
Potato 1medium sized (cut into small cubes)
Onion 2 (chopped finely)
Salt to taste
For Seasoning
4tbsp Oil, 1/2tbsp mustard seeds, 4-5 redchilies
Heat oil in a Kadai (deeppan). Add mustard seeds and chopped red chilies. Wait till splutters. Add chopped onions and fry slightly. To this add chopped potato and cabbage. Add salt to taste and little water. Allow the vegetables to cook. Serve hot with rice and Rasam.
Serves:4 people.
Preparation time: 25-30 mins.

Ingredients
Cabbage 1/4kg (chopped finely)
Grated coconut 1/2 katori
Asafoetida 1 pinch
Salt to taste
For seasoning: 1tbsp channa dal (Bengal grams) 4-5 green chillies, 4tbsp oil.
Heat oil in Kadai. Add channa dal, and green chilli pieces for seasoning. Add chopped cabbage grated coconut and Asafoetida to this. Very little or no water is used in this preparation. Serve hot with chapatis or pulkas.
