Established in 1965 by the maker of Modern Manipal Late Dr.T.M.A.Pai affiliated to Manglore university (Permanent Affiliation) recognised by national Council for teacher Education, New Delhi.

COURSES OFFERED : Bachelor of Education (B.Ed - 10 months courses)

3 general or four papers education and two teaching methodology subjects depending upon the specialization at the degree level

Areas of Specialization: any one of the following a) computer Education,  b) value Education,  c) Environmental education,   d) health and Physical Education,  e) population education

Apart from this the incumbent has to undergo training in teaching either in Kannada or English Medium for period of 6 weeks in a recognised Secondary school in the vicinity of Udupi town. The student teacher is oriented about education both theoretically and practically.
Medium of instruction: English/Kannada -Bilingual mode of teaching is adopted.

Library : the college has a very good library with 16000 volumes o education and other allied subjects. Library subscribers to 45 journals out of which many are educational journals.
Sports and games and other activities : the student teachers are given scope to play various games regularly. Weekly once co-curricular activities are conducted for the personality development of student teacher. Guest lectures are regularly organized. The college brings out college annual very regularly.
Educational Excursion and citizenship training camp is compulsory course requirement.
