Welcome Group Graduate School of Hotel Administration, Manipal - WGSHA

The hotel and catering industry in India now poised for a quantum leap needs professionally trained personnel at operational and managerial levels. 

Keeping this scenario in view, the College of Hotel and Restaurant Management was established as a unit of the Dr. T. M. A. Pai Foundation. In August '87 the Foundation joined hands with of ITC Ltd. Welcomgroup is a progressive hotel chain in collaboration with Sheraton Inc. USA, Its training and development activities are three other Welcomgroup, the hotels division with recognised by the International Hotel Association, Paris. The College is now. called the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration.

Affiliation

The Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration offers a four years Bachelor's degree programme in Hotel Management (BHM) and has been granted affiliation by the Mangalore University.

Facilities

The Institute is unique since it has a fully equipped 50 room star hotel: Valley View International attached to it. This star hotel at Manipal established in 1969 has evolved over the years as a good hotel achieving optimum levels of occupancy and local food & beverage business. The facilities and the infrastructure available are now being further renovated and improved in order to make Valley View a model training hotel. The students have access to a well stocked library, lab-kitchens. and modern audio-visual equipments.
